Habits of Insanely Fit People
1. Fit people don't diet---Diets don't work. If your into fitness your need food (fuel) to perform. Fit people chose heatlhier food. Choosing healthier food takes practice. Learning about the different food groups, shopping for quality food and preparing it. Your body will also begin to crave healthier foods the more active you are. When your active your body needs nutritious food to perform. The last thing you want to do is be on a diet and restrict calories that the body needs. You can chose to have a Healthier Lifestyle Diet Plan. That is the food you are consuming on a daily basis.
2. They find a way to enjoy exercise---When you were young did anyone have to convince you to go outside and play, play on the playground, swim in the pool, ride your bike? What changed? You grew up? You can still experience those same feelings with being active now. Join a dance exercise class, go hiking with a buddy, walk the dog, sign up for marathon training, join a water aerobic class--the list is endless.
3.They don't compare their bodies to other people's bodies---There is only one you. Your unique and if your trying to look or be like someone else..who is going to be you?
4.They get enough sleep---Sleeping is healing for the body.Sleeping between 10pm and 2 am is the most healing. The body repairs itself when we sleep. We also make physical gains when we relax and sleep. When we relax and sleep the body produces Leptin. Leptin is a hormone that assists in maintaining appetite and weight control. When we not stressed we produce this hormone. Sleep produces this hormone and we are able to control our cravings and maintain our weight better. When we are stressed we produce Ghrelin. Ghrelin is the hunger hormone. We produce this we we did not get adequate rest (stressed). Producing this hormone will increase our appetite, as well as feeling less satisfied when we do eat. This will increase our appetite and we will consume more food to feel satisfied.
5.They have a cheat day---Take one day a week to go off you Lifestyle Diet Plan. Continue to be active but forget about the rules--just for one day.
AFter that day get back on track!
6.They make fitness a priority--Find your calender and put down your fitness appointments with yourself. Unless your sick, or your have a child, spouse, extended family member,close friend that needs you---give that time to yourself! You are worth it. When you invest in yourself your better your able to give to others. Work your schedule (work, appointments, family) around your fitness plan.
7.They eat breakfast---if you desire to maintain your weight or lose weight---breakfast will make or break you! Consuming breakfast boost your metabolism, reduces late night snacking, and consume less food through out day. Eat Breakfast like a King, Lunch like a Queen and Dinner like a pauper. Don't forget your snacks every 2-3 hours.
